As of December 31, 2023, SWIB managed over $156 billion in assets. It is directed by an independent Board of Trustees and aims to utilize a disciplined, prudent, and innovative approach to market opportunities to generate respectable returns. SWIB plays a crucial role in contributing to the financial future of more than 677,000 participants and 1,500 employers in the WRS.
